NPO Project Santa (Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director: Mai Yano) is supporting children battling illnesses as they face the daily grind of treatment and helping them to feel a little more positive through their “Gachagacha Project.” To continue the project, they will be supporting the charity event “Earth Clean,” featuring over 50 VTubers, from November 7th to 9th (the 9th will be an in-person event). This charity event, with the theme of “Vtubers uniting their hearts through music,” sees Vtubers supporting children battling illness. We hope that this collaboration between Project Santa and over 50 Vtubers will create a new, fun form of charity and expand support for children undergoing treatment. ▶Background of the event This event was planned by organizer Mai Takeshizuku, who wondered if VTubers could also contribute to society. Among these, they resonated with our NPO Project Santa’s vision of “enjoying the excitement to the fullest, enjoying ourselves to the fullest, not for someone else, but for everyone to enjoy, and spreading charity that naturally supports others,” and reached out to us. In particular, they supported our “Charity Rice” initiative, which Project Santa has been selling since January 2025. Purchases of rice include a donation to support children battling illnesses, and we plan to sell VTuber-themed charity rice and collaboration sake boxes at the event. We will also be selling charity T-shirts and other items, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Project Santa to help cover the operating costs of the “Gachagacha Project,” which children undergoing treatment can play.

Currently installed and operating in 13 hospitals, when they announce, “You can play gachapon!”, it motivates the children to work hard on their treatment! We’ve received positive feedback from medical professionals saying that using the machine has a dramatic effect on children’s expressions. Furthermore, with in-hospital events currently difficult to hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the gachapon machines seem to be a source of precious smiles for children. It’s important to regularly replenish the prizes in gachapon machines after they’ve been set up. Proceeds from this event will be used to cover prizes and ensure the stable operation of the gachapon.
