(Shibuya-ku: CEO Tetsuya Bessho), will be hosting “Iceland Escape: Icelandic Shorts Special” starting today, October 1st, for five weeks, as an online satellite venue for the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) 2025 Autumn International Short Film Festival. The five films are “Small Collisions,” a Cannes Film Festival Special Prize winner that uses metaphor; “A Little House That Changes Seasons,” which was shot in front of the director’s house over an 18-month period, showcasing the four seasons of Iceland in detail; “You and the Sky,” a human drama in which Iceland’s unique natural beauty and light create not only the backdrop but also the psychological atmosphere of the story; and “I Want to Be Cute,” which deals with universal adolescent themes while also conveying the warmth of Icelandic family and home. Majestic yet harsh. Enjoy a spiritual escape as you experience a number of works in which the vastness of Iceland’s nature intertwines with the quietly unfolding stories. Additionally, as a special invitation, we will be streaming for one week only the short film “CRANK,” the directorial debut of actor Kengo Kora, who loves Iceland.
