“Crash Landing on You,” produced by South Korea’s leading studio, Studio Dragon, is a transnational love story between Yoon Se-ri, a daughter of a South Korean conglomerate, and Ri Jeong-hyeok, a soldier in the Korean People’s Army, who crash-lands in North Korea after a paragliding accident. Since its broadcast in South Korea began in December 2019, the series has garnered worldwide attention and continues to enjoy enduring popularity more than five years later. The musical was made in Korea in September 2022, and after many requests for a Japanese performance, it was first performed in Japan in February 2024. The singing and acting of the talented cast attracted attention, and it was performed again in July of the same year with unusual speed. Now, it will be performed in Osaka.
