And of the 12 works, three will be included in the calendar for the first time. ●About Mitsuo Aida As a poet and calligrapher, Mitsuo Aida continued to explore his own words and calligraphy, producing many works that focused on the preciousness of life. Mitsuo’s words, which honestly reveal his weaknesses and dependency and express his true self as a human being, speak to the hearts of people living today, sometimes deeply and sometimes powerfully.

He became interested in calligraphy and tanka poetry while attending Tochigi Prefectural Ashikaga Junior High School. He then established his own unique style and produced numerous works based on the theme of “My own words, my own calligraphy.” In 1984, his work “Ningendamono” (We Are Humans) (Bunka Publishing Bureau) was published, bringing his work to widespread recognition.
