Sakura City Press Release: October 2, 2025 [Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture] Issue 38 of “Anemabika,” an annual magazine conveying the culture of Sakura City – Sakura City Cultural Arts Archive – has been published. Special Feature: “70th Anniversary of Sakura City’s Incorporation” Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, has published the latest issue (No. 38) of “Fubaika,” an annual magazine showcasing the city’s arts, culture, and history. This issue looks back on Sakura City’s milestones, featuring a collection of
commemorative events held in 1994, marking the 70th anniversary of the city’s incorporation in 1954. In addition, the article “Sakura’s Shrine and Temple Architecture,” contributed by Professor Masashi Hamashima, Emeritus Professor at the National Museum of Japanese History, is a must-read for anyone touring the city’s shrines and temples. Since its launch in 1988, “Fumeika” has continued to provide information specifically focused on the city’s culture. It is a rare presence among municipal publications nationwide and is one of Sakura City’s proud cultural promotion initiatives.
