Kyoto City Youth Service Association (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) Press Release: October 2, 2025 Yuskar! (Youth Culture Market) 2025 will be held! The event will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 (national holiday) at ROHM Theatre Kyoto (ROHM Square & Promenade). The Kyoto Youth Service Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, operates seven youth activity centers throughout the city and is committed to supporting the development of young people through a variety of activities, including environmental education, community activities, and multicultural coexistence. As part of our “Creative Arts and Culture” initiative, we will be holding “Yusukaru! (Youth Culture Market) 2025” on Monday, November 3rd (national holiday), an event aimed at creating new cultural outreach projects that will bring out the energy of young people. Rather than focusing on a specific genre of cultural outreach, this event will be an opportunity to experience the diverse energy of young people and support the development of youth culture. The event will be held for one day only, and will feature a variety of activities, including performances, craft markets, and art
exhibitions, all in multiple spaces, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of genres. Yuskar! (Youth Culture Market) 2025 Start time: Monday, November 3, 2025 (national holiday), 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM *Will be held rain or shine Venue: ROHM Theatre Kyoto (ROHM Square & Promenade) Admission fee : Free (some booths require admission) Organizers: Kyoto City and Kyoto City Youth Service Association, a public interest incorporated foundation ROHM Theatre Kyoto (Kyoto City Music, Arts and Culture Promotion Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation) Sponsored by: Kyoto Hagukumi Network <Yusukaru! What is it? > This year marks the eighth year for this new cultural outreach and creation event that brings out the energy of young people. Because the meaning and content of culture are so diverse, and because the event is shaped by uncovering young people’s preferences and the emerging youth culture, we are open to
participants, with as few genre restrictions as possible. In addition to providing a venue and opportunity for expression, we will also broaden our scope to create an environment that nurtures youth culture (i.e., supports the growth of young people), thereby enhancing future events. <This Year’s Main Content> We have set up a “Street Area” as a place where young people can interact with each other and with local residents through the things they are passionate about. The “Street Area” is a place where young people active in Kyoto can gather and share their ideas. This year, there will be a variety of performances, including live painting by university students, rap by young people, Japanese musical instruments, comedy, and singing with an acoustic guitar. In addition, the venue will also have a “stage,” “activity communication booth,” and “art exhibition” where young people who were selected through public applications will be able to share their daily activities and interact with visitors. <Organization Overview> Youth services “support” young people as they grow from children into responsible adults. “Support” involves providing “opportunities” to young people to obtain advice, information, and a variety of human and material resources when needed. Experiencing fulfillment and challenging one’s potential through voluntary group participation means developing young people’s minds and bodies and promoting their personal growth in a way that stimulates their independent and creative activities. The Kyoto Youth Service Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, operates and implements projects based on the philosophy of youth service, operating seven youth activity centers in Kyoto City as a designated manager of the city. In addition, under commission from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and Kyoto City, it operates the Kyoto Youth Support Station and the Comprehensive Child and Youth Counseling Center. <Inquiries regarding this matter> Kyoto City Higashiyama Youth Activity Center (Yusukaru!
