event—”Imagine a Future Sea of Clouds Terrace”—in collaboration with Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, a resort in Hokkaido, from Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to Wednesday, September 24, 2025. This event, part of the “Future Fantasy Newspaper 2042” initiative, which aims to create opportunities for people to imagine and discuss the future and contribute to the realization of a better future, offered visitors to Hoshino Resorts Tomamu’s Sea of Clouds Terrace a unique experience of imagining a “Future Sea of Clouds Terrace.” This collaboration was made possible by the striking resonance between the spectacular sky views offered by Unkai Terrace, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Mirai Kuuso Shimbun’s message of “Look up at the sky and imagine the future.” ■Background Mirai Kuuso Shimbun is a platform where many people can imagine the future together and co-create a better one. Now in its fourth year since its launch in 2022, “Future Fantasy Newspaper 2042” solicited fantasies from the general public, and received over 5,300 fantasy articles imagining diverse futures.
