[Kannai Hall] 2025 Japan Tour Ausias Parejo Guitar Recital in Celebration of the 67th Tokyo International Guitar Competition Winner
Yokohama Arts Foundation Press Release: October 3, 2025 [Kannai Hall] 2025 Japan Tour Ausias Parejo Guitar Recital Commemorating the Winner of the 67th Tokyo International Guitar Competition ~Dedicated to Valencia~ The Tokyo International Guitar Competition (sponsored by the Japan Guitar Federation), which began in 1949, is the longest-running guitar competition in Japan and is known as the nation’s highest level competition, as well as an internationally renowned competition. Renowned Japanese guitarists such as Kazuhito Yamashita (1976), Kaori Muraji (1992), and Dai Kimura (1996) have won the competition. At just 19 years old, Ausias Parejo will become the first Spaniard to win the competition in 2024. He is currently one of the most notable young guitarists not only in Spain but around the world. This time, the concert will be held as part of a Japan tour to commemorate his victory in the competition. Image

Please present identification verifying your age along with your seat voucher. ◆Profile: Ausias Parejo (Guitar) A young guitarist born in 2006 in Valencia, Spain. He began playing guitar at the age of four under the tutelage of his father, renowned guitarist Rubén Parejo, and is currently studying at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory. At just 19 years old, he has already won 39 awards in national and international competitions, including the 15th Alhambra International Guitar Competition (2022) and the 67th Tokyo International Guitar Competition (2024). He has been invited to guitar festivals around the world, including the United States and Japan, and has performed at venues such as Palau de la Música de Valencia, Ishikawa Prefectural Music Hall, and Taeiljon Public Hall. He has also performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Valencia and Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa. His virtuoso and sensitive performances have been highly praised throughout the world. He released his first CD, “Con Tanta Tenerezza,” in 2018, and recorded “Spanish and Latin American Guitar Works” on the Naxos label in 2023. He also recorded works dedicated to the planet by Enrique Morales-Can and José Elena.
