“Ranma 1/2,” the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, whose representative works include “Urusei Yatsura,” “Maison Ikkoku,” “Inuyasha,” “Rin-ne,” and “MAO,” has been adapted into an all-new anime! Takahashi was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Industry Award Hall of Fame in 2018, won the Grand Prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France in 2019, and was awarded the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government in 2023. The story begins when Genma Saotome and his son Ranma, who had been training in China, arrive at the Tendo family home. However, what appears before them is a giant panda and a cute girl!? After his training in China, Ranma developed a strange condition: when he pours water over himself, he transforms into a woman, and when he pours hot water over himself, he reverts to a man… Ranma and his friends get involved with the unique people around them, and they cry, laugh, and sometimes fall in love in this timeless, unbeatable fighting romantic comedy.
