The 11th annual “John Ken Nuzzo Christmas Concert” will be held at TOPPAN Hall (1-3-3 Suido, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) on December 20, 2025. Started in response to customer requests, this series, planned by John Ken Nuzzo himself, has welcomed a variety of guests each year and has been well-received by many fans. This year’s guest will be Seattle-based violinist Yuki Hashimori. John Ken Nuzzo’s warm and powerful vocals will enhance the Christmas atmosphere. Guest musician Yuki Hashimori’s delicate violin and Kasumi Maruki’s refined piano will add color to this holy night.

After performing at the Volksoper and the Salzburg Festival, he began performing at the Metropolitan Opera in 2003. He is well-known even outside of classical music fans, having appeared on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen and sung the main theme for the NHK Taiga drama “Shinsengumi!” He captivates audiences with his exceptional voice, technique, and wide-ranging repertoire. In addition to singing for Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress Emerita and the Pope, she has also sung the national anthems at MLB, NFL, and international soccer games. She has guest-sung with world-renowned singers such as Gruberova, Gheorghiu, Bruson, and Nucci, as well as with orchestras both in Japan and abroad, including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, OEK, and Munich Philharmonic. In recent years, she has garnered acclaim for her duet with Domingo from the opera “The Pearl Fishers” and her collaboration with world-renowned horn player Baborak in a rendition of Britten’s masterpiece. Last year, she performed in the outdoor opera “La Bohème” at the Nakagusuku Castle ruins, a World Heritage Site in Okinawa, and this year, she appeared in the Egypt-Japan Friendship Concert with the pyramids as a backdrop. He has made numerous media appearances, including “New Untitled Concert” and “Takeshi’s Anyone Can Be Picasso,” and at the age of 11, he became the youngest scholarship student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Cologne, Germany, where he studied under Zakhar Bron. He has honed his skills through concerts around the world, including an Excellence Award at the Nagano International Music Festival, and a collaboration with Ludwig Muller. He also continues to actively support charity work, building a school in the Republic of Benin, Africa, while in Germany. He was invited by the National University of Los Andes in Colombia to embark on a recital tour. He won the CCPA Concerto Competition in the United States and performed Brahms’ Concerto with an orchestra on two consecutive nights. He also performed with Carlos Santana and Ricky Martin at the Latin Grammy Awards. His debut CD, “Grand Waltz,” was released by Octavia Records and won first place and the Best Newcomer Award at the 13th Oikawa Music Office Newcomer Audition. In 2019, she became the concertmistress of the Yale Orchestra, where she performed the world premiere of a work composed by artificial intelligence (AI). She also received the Hagura Award for the orchestra’s 30th
anniversary concert in 2024. She also garnered attention for her Stradivarius performance on the TV show “Celebrity Rating Check.” She has also collaborated on costumes with world-renowned designer Junko Koshino and performed in television dramas. She currently owns studios in both Japan and the United States and is active in a variety of fields, including mentoring young musicians, solo performances, recording, serving as a judge on international competitions, and engaging in cultural diplomacy. He has frequently appeared in the media, including major US media outlets, North American Hochi Publishing, and leading Pacific Northwest media outlets.

Graduated from the Tokyo College of Music’s Piano Performer Course and the Graduate School of the same college’s Instrumental Music Department, Keyboard Accompaniment Division. As an ensemble pianist, she performs with various soloists, regularly gives performances at courses such as the NHK Culture Center and Ikebukuro Community College, supports reconstruction efforts in disaster-stricken areas, performs in the lounges of five-star hotels, and is involved in not only classical music but also TV dubbing, teaching actors, and planning performances for various companies. Her activities are diverse. She has won prizes at the Japan Piano Teachers Federation Competition, the PTNA Piano Competition, the Saitama Piano
Competition, and the Petrov Piano Competition, among others. They have also performed overseas, including at the Concert for the 150th Anniversary of Japan-Macau Friendship at the Vienna Philharmonic and a friendly concert in Taiwan.
