“Challenge Sota Fujii! Peko-chan Children’s Shogi School 2025 [Date and Time] Saturday, November 15, 2025, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (2 sessions, 90 minutes each) [Attendee] Japan Shogi Association Player Sota Fujii, Ryuo/Meijin Ito Takumi, 7th Dan / Takami Taichi, 7th Dan / Miyajima Kenta, 4th Dan / Taketomi Rei, Women’s 2nd Dan / Sasaki Kaiho, Women’s 1st Dan Fujiya Co., Ltd., President and CEO, Nobuyuki Kawamura Fujiya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Nobuyuki Kawamura) and the Japan Shogi Association (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Ichiro Shimizu) have decided to hold the “Challenge Souta Fujii! Peko-chan Children’s Shogi Academy” again this year, which was first held in December 2024 and received rave reviews. At this event, Ryuo/Meijin Souta Fujii, Shoei-o Ito, and four other professional and female professional shogi players will play multiple games with elementary school children with shogi experience. It is hoped that this event will be a valuable experience for the
participating children, allowing them to learn more about shogi and grow to love the game even more.
