Parents have shared feedback such as, “My child can’t go to school, but he can come here,” “He no longer has tantrums,” and “Since he started attending Visions Palette, he has become more energetic, learned to express his feelings, and has been having more conversations with his child.” In recent years, we have also received an increasing number of related inquiries and consultations. – Our studio does not have a curriculum. Our instructors are active artists who graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and other art universities. They focus on fostering individuality over skill, and help children create their own works every day. Students don’t try to imitate others, but instead start by thinking for themselves about what they want to create. They constantly challenge themselves to complete their work. We believe that this experience is popular with children who are not attending school and those with developmental disabilities. *The benefits of art have also attracted attention from psychological and medical perspectives, and it has been introduced into counseling and medical settings as “art therapy” and “clinical art.” ・Starting Wednesday, October 22nd, we will be holding a “large-scale exhibition” that brings together the work of these “little artists.” This will be the first such exhibition in six years. Approximately 700 pieces will be on display, ranging from watercolors and oil paintings to sculptures and other three-dimensional crafts.

This student barely spoke in class and didn’t respond much to questions from staff. However, he made up for it by communicating through dynamic drawings and artwork. The ability to build relationships non-verbally is a strength of art, but I also feel it’s unique to Palette, which values each child’s pace. Completing a piece after a year and a half has given me confidence. One of my students had trouble concentrating, but he recently completed a piece he had been working on for over a year and a half, and it seems he has gained confidence. It’s not uncommon for students to gain confidence by completing a work over a long period of time, but I feel that Palette’s policy of respecting each student’s own pace while encouraging them to feel responsible for their work also plays a role. There are times when a child who used to skip school now leads the others. A child who previously skipped school is now able to attend school. Currently, he is completing a series of powerful and assertive works, and is also challenging himself with more difficult expressions such as abstract paintings. There are also times when he leads the other children through his artwork. Perhaps because he feels at ease, he is close to the staff and works on his artwork in a relaxed manner, just as if he were at home. <Event Overview> Name | Visions Palette Grand Exhibition 2025: The Thorny Apple Tastes Like Romance Meeting place | Meguro Art Museum Citizens Gallery (2-4-36 Meguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo) Opening period|Wednesday, October 22, 2025 to Sunday, October 26, 2025 Opening Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (until 12:00 PM on the last day) Admission Fee: Free Workshop | Saturday, October 25, 2025, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2025, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. We provide attentive attention, with a teacher-to-teacher ratio of two to three for preschoolers and one to three for elementary school students and older. Our instructors, who are active artists and graduates of top art universities such as Tokyo University of the Arts, praise and encourage students to develop their initiative and individuality. Through creative work, students will develop
sensitivity and concentration, building a foundation for the “power to live” that fosters self-confidence and self-affirmation.
