Anime Week for Kids and Adults” will be held from September 29th, and “SPY×FAMILY Season 3” and “One Punch Man” will be broadcast from October. The first episode of “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” “The Angel Attacks,” will be broadcast in the evening slot on TV Tokyo affiliates for the first time in 30 years, since October 1995. Don’t miss it! ≪Program Content≫ This “Anime Anniversary” special program will feature selected anime series celebrating anniversaries, such as anniversaries or theatrical releases, from the many anime series that have aired on TV Tokyo. Each week, we will present featured episodes and special programs. ≪Staff Comments≫ ■Program Director: Yoshikazu Beniya (Head of Anime Production, Anime Department, TV Tokyo) In this day and age, with nearly 50 new anime titles being released per season, TV Tokyo is living up to its reputation as “TV Tokyo of Anime” by delivering popular titles in prime broadcast times. While classic anime from the past can be enjoyed through streaming services, this project will take advantage of the opportunity to celebrate a variety of TV Tokyo anime, both past and present, by broadcasting on terrestrial TV. The first episode of “Neon Genesis Evangelion” is all the more meaningful now that it’s airing on the TV Tokyo network, marking the 30th anniversary of its broadcast. While the other shows may have different reasons for celebration, the lineup is packed with titles that will make you want to watch them now that they’re airing on the TV Tokyo network.
