state-of-the-art IG Arena, the event will offer an unprecedented co-creation experience that fuses fashion, culture, and technology. By weaving together the region’s history and techniques, the
sensibilities of the younger generation, and technology, it will serve as a springboard for designing the future from “local to global.” Fashion is culture, industry, expression, and hope. From this intersection of ideas, new stories will connect to the next
generation. In addition, this will be the first time a major Japanese fashion event will utilize IOWN, the next-generation information and communications infrastructure concept proposed by the NTT Group. New technology initiatives are also planned to connect the IG Arena and Yokohama BUNTAI. Please also keep an eye out for this new
entertainment that transcends time and space, born from the fusion of the history and culture of Aichi Prefecture, Japan’s leading textile industry, with next-generation technology. Our Platinum Partner is Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, South Korea’s largest manufacturer of home appliances, electronic components, and electronic products, which sells Samsung Galaxy brand smartphones and wearable products. Attending the press conference were Noriyoshi Murakami, Executive Chairman of the Tokyo Girls Collection Executive Committee and Representative Director of W TOKYO Co., Ltd., as well as
representatives from the co-organizer Aichi-Nagoya FASHION DAYS Executive Committee, including Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Omura, Nagoya Mayor Ichiro Hirosawa, platinum partner Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd. CMO Kenichi Kobayashi, and special partner NTT Docomo, Inc. Executive Officer and General Manager of the Consumer Services Company. Motohisa Suzuki also took the stage, and each of them spoke about their thoughts on the event. (The following is an excerpt from comments made at the press conference) ・Omura Hideaki (Governor of Aichi Prefecture) I am very pleased that “TGC in Aichi-Nagoya 2026” will be held in Aichi Prefecture for the first time in 14 years. Aichi Prefecture’s textile industry, represented by Bishu woolen textiles and Mikawa cotton, boasts the highest manufacturing shipment value in the country and is a local industry rich in history and tradition. Hosting one of Japan’s largest fashion events here in Aichi will be a great opportunity for more people to learn about the appeal of Aichi, including its textile industry. Additionally, Aichi Prefecture will partner with Nagoya City to hold “Aichi-Nagoya FASHION DAYS” over two days, February 14th (Sat) and 15th (Sun), 2026, to promote the various attractions of Aichi and Nagoya, including industry, focusing on textiles and traditional crafts, food, including fermented foods, and culture. We will provide updates on both events, so please look forward to “Aichi-Nagoya FASHION DAYS” and “TGC in Aichi-Nagoya 2026.”

The Nagoya region has long been a center of manufacturing industries such as textiles and automobiles. As part of its industrial revitalization efforts, Nagoya City is currently supporting the creation of creators in fields such as fashion to create new value. Therefore, on the Nagoya stage at “TGC in
Aichi-Nagoya 2026,” we plan to hold a fashion show featuring works by local creators utilizing Nagoya’s traditional techniques. We hope you will enjoy the many pieces that utilize traditional techniques but are adapted to modern lifestyles. We also expect “TGC in Aichi-Nagoya 2026” to attract a large number of young people from all over Japan. This is a great opportunity to promote Nagoya, and I hope that visitors will see the IG Arena and Nagoya Castle and feel that Nagoya has been renovated. I hope that this event will leave a positive impression of Nagoya and be a great success.

This time, we were approached by NTT Docomo, a longtime partner. TGC has previously sponsored events as part of its marketing activities, but this time, NTT Docomo told us that they wanted to create a new regional revitalization project utilizing the latest technology at the newly opened IG Arena, in addition to fashion and culture. We have been delivering Samsung Galaxy smartphones to the world since 2010, and this year marks our 15th anniversary. Under the slogan “Innovation for All,” we have long expanded our business to bring the latest technology to everyone. We decided to participate as a special sponsor, eager to help create new regional revitalization, new experiences, and new fashion and culture together. IG Arena is a facility equipped with cutting-edge technology, and we hope to respond with the latest technology. For this reason, we’ll have plenty of popular smartphones and other devices available on the day, and we’ll be working hard to create a new event experience for everyone, so please look forward to it!

Executive Officer, Consumer Services Company) General Manager) I am very excited that TGC, now one of the world’s largest fashion events, will be held in Aichi and Nagoya for the first time in 14 years. By teaming up with TGC and Docomo, we hope to promote the appeal of Aichi and Nagoya both domestically and internationally and contribute to further revitalizing the region. Furthermore, IG Arena boasts a cutting-edge environment, including stadium Wi-Fi, millimeter wave, and IOWN. We will further integrate TGC with technology and work closely with Samsung Electronics Japan and other partner companies to create an unprecedented experience that will excite visitors and people from both Japan and overseas. TGC, formerly known as the “Regional Industry Revitalization Project,” began in March 2009 with the “Cabinet Secretariat Regional Revitalization Project – Glasses in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture.” With the goal of
revitalizing local industries across Japan, TGC has hosted promotional booths and stage displays at the Tokyo TGC venue, as well as held TGC events in regional cities such as Nagoya, Okinawa, and Fukushima. Then, in 2015, the “TGC Regional Revitalization Project” was launched, utilizing the TGC platform to not only promote the charms and industries of local areas nationwide, but also to provide
opportunities to experience “Tokyo’s cutting edge,” based on the TGC philosophy of regional revitalization. Starting with TGC Kitakyushu 2015, held in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture in the same year, the locations have expanded year by year to Toyama, the first in the Hokuriku region, Hiroshima, the first in the Chugoku region, Shizuoka, Kumamoto, Wakayama in the Kansai region, Matsuyama, the first in Shikoku, and Kagawa. We will continue to promote the charms of regional cities through TGC. LINE: @TGC_LINE / X: @TGCnews / Instagram: @tgc_staff / Threads: @tgc_staff / TikTok: @TGC__official Hashtag: #TGCAichiNagoya /
