With a musicality that transcends the boundaries of genre and lyrics that philosophically and emotionally explore everything from love to views on life and death, they have gained widespread support, particularly among adolescents. Their musical talent extends beyond band sounds; they have also been responsible for the overall music for Makoto Shinkai’s animated films “Your Name,” “Weathering With You,” and “Sparrow’s Door Lock.” They have also demonstrated their versatile musical talent in soundtracks, earning them critical acclaim, winning the Japan Academy Award for Best Original Score three times at the 40th, 43rd, and 46th Japan Academy Awards for their respective works. They also provided all 29 soundtracks and the theme song for the live-action film “10 Years Left to Live” (directed by Michihito Fujii), which will be released in 2022. Since 2014, the band has been actively performing overseas, and in 2023, for the first time in about five years, they embarked on a large-scale overseas tour that visited North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Following that, in 2024, they embarked on a highly successful world tour that visited four cities in Latin America, including their first visit to a region in their history, and seven countries and regions in Asia, including Japan. In November 2025, the band will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their major debut. ●RADWIMPS 20th anniversary special site https://radwimps.jp/20th/ <RADWIMPS Official HP> https://radwimps.jp/
