Yamaha Corporation Press Release: October 9, 2025 Yamaha releases four models rebranded from Steinberg: URX-C Series Audio/MIDI Interface and UR-MK3 Series Audio Interface Yamaha Corporation today announced the release of the URX-C series audio/MDI interface and the UR-MK3 series audio interface, part of the hardware product planning and development it has taken over from Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH (Hamburg, Germany; hereafter “Steinberg”).

Yamaha Audio Interface “UR-MK3 Series” (left), Yamaha Audio/MIDI Interface “URX-C Series” (Right) The “URX-C Series” is a high-grade model that delivers stable operation and excellent sound quality when recording and playing back. The lineup includes two models: the 6-input/4-output URX44C and the 2-input/2-output URX22C. Featuring up to 32-bit integer/192kHz audio resolution and D-PRE mic preamps, these interfaces deliver clear, rich sound for recording and playback. The DSP mixer and DSP effects provide a low-latency monitoring environment and high-quality effect processing. Meanwhile, the UR-MK3 series is an entry-level audio interface model that’s lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, allowing you to create and record music anywhere. Both models support recording and playback at up to 24-bit/192kHz. The UR22MK3 features two inputs with high-performance microphone preamps, while the UR12MK3 features one. Available in black or white, they’re both compatible with multiple platforms: Mac, Windows, iPad, and iPhone. When connected to an iOS device, CC (Class Compliant) mode allows for simple operation without the need for detailed settings. They also come with Cubase AI music production software, so you can start composing, recording, and editing right out of the box. Operability that realizes an intuitive and seamless workflow The built-in DSP mixer and DSP effects provide a low-latency monitoring environment and high-quality effect processing. Additionally, the dedicated control app “dspMixFx for URX-C” allows you to smoothly adjust channel gain and panning and apply various effects from a single, intuitive screen. 3. Equipped with high-level streaming functionality The UEX-C Series is equipped with a multi-audio stream driver that allows you to simultaneously control the sound of multiple audio applications on your PC. In addition to the monitoring function, it also features a streaming mix that adjusts the balance delivered to the destination (listener), enabling even higher-level streaming. The UR22MK3 also allows you to switch between MONO and STEREO. 3. “Loopback Function” Convenient for Streaming The “Loopback Function” allows you to mix instrumental sounds and sounds played on your PC within the unit and stream them over the Internet via your PC. Loopback can be turned on/off using the monitor switch on the hardware. Each input also has a mute switch, so you can mute just the microphone when you leave your seat during a stream. 4. Portable design With a depth of 10.2 cm and a weight of 450 g, the lightweight and compact design means you can keep it at home or take it with you on the go and use it as an interface.
