Japan Music Industry and Culture Foundation Press Release: October 9, 2025 Mitsuhiro Hidaka has been selected as the keynote speaker for the 22nd Tokyo International Music Market (22nd TIMM) Business Seminar! Latest information on business seminar themes and speakers also announced The Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) is an event bringing together people from the music industry both in Japan and overseas, with the primary goal of promoting Japanese music overseas. This year’s 22nd TIMM will be held over three days, from Tuesday, November 4th to Thursday, November 6th, in Shibuya, known as “Music Town.” During the event, the main program will include business meetings and networking, a live showcase, and a business seminar. Photo by Yuji Ueno In this keynote talk, Mitsuhiro Hidaka, an artist, producer, and label representative active in many fields, will reflect on his career and challenges to date, and discuss the potential of Japanese music and the next generation of artists in the global market. After his time with AAA, he performed worldwide as a solo artist. He also founded BMSG Inc., which has adopted the “GROWTH5” strategy to nurture and promote the next generation of talent. He has also been working to spread Japanese music culture internationally. This session will take into account changes in the global music industry, and will share Mr. Hidaka’s experiences and his outlook for realizing his global dreams.
