Known as a private hotel available for rental, it offers a tranquil, natural setting and a luxurious space, based on the theme of “Setouchi Hygge.” Renowned as a highly popular and highly reserved property, it is a rare and special residence. For this installation, we will open this special space, which is normally only accessible to guests, to the public, and will exhibit and sell vintage furniture and craft works carefully selected by RETANGO.

Founder of SANTASSE. Born in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture in 1980. Fascinated by vintage clothing from an early age, he has worked in sales, buying, and shop direction, focusing on secondhand clothing from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. He has worked on the direction of a number of popular brands, including SANTASSE, a private shop that sells “supreme items” handpicked by him, by appointment only, COALMINE GUARANTEED, a made-to-order brand that makes use of his deep knowledge of denim, WEST OVERALLS, and HELLY HANSEN. RETANGO Curator Yosuke Otsubo Profile Fashion and lifestyle consultant. He moved to the United States alone in his early twenties and lived in Los Angeles for 29 years. While working in the fashion industry there, he experienced and absorbed American culture firsthand since the 1970s. He is known as a fashion legend with a deep knowledge of clothing and a global perspective. He later served as director of the New York-based brand “ROGAN” and began working full-time in Tokyo. In recent years, he has served as sales and marketing director for Levi’s(R)’s premium line, overseeing the Asia, Middle East, and Africa markets and leading the development of LVC and other brands. He currently operates “Otsubo Shoten,” a pop-up store that preserves folk crafts, art, and fashion, mainly at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi main store. PÂTISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI Profile PÂTISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI is a patisserie brand founded in Todoroki, Tokyo in 2015. The brand’s concept is, “Inspiration begins with you.” We started with the desire to provide a sweets experience that is beautiful and leaves a lasting impression, resonating with the sensibilities and memories of each individual customer. With “sweets that allow you to savor the beauty” as our core, we will continue to expand the value of experiences that can be enjoyed with all five senses. Kyoko Yoshioka Profile Born in 1973. Lives in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. At the age of 35, she aimed to become an interior coordinator and obtained the qualification. After working at an interior design firm for five years, she went independent and became a freelancer. She handles new home construction and renovations, as well as store renovations and model home (room) projects. In 2019, her work was nominated for the Styling Design Award by the interior design magazine Modern Living. Naoko Tamoto Profile Born in 1984. Resides in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. She moved from the apparel industry to the world of interior design. After gaining experience as a coordinator at an interior design manufacturer, he currently works at a home builder, where he is responsible for proposing, coordinating, and managing renovation projects. He also runs “Room705,” a store that offers original interior design products and select items. Fascinated by the owner, Koji Hiramatsu’s, wiring and pruning techniques, the two artists moved from the Kanto region and are honing their skills every day in an environment surrounded by bonsai on all sides.
