He’s a top surfer based in Matsubara City, Osaka, who continues to chase waves both at home and abroad. Not only do they compete, but they also fully enjoy all kinds of “action culture,” including skateboarding, snowboarding, and martial arts, making them the envy of many young people. Even those who are unfamiliar with surfing will be moved by their lifestyle and energy. On the day, there will also be a talk show and video session discussing the reality of surf culture. This will be a truly special stage where you can go beyond the waves and experience the appeal of surfing as a culture. A new wave of local culture created by ISOKOKIDS × WHATAWON To mark the 30th anniversary of surf culture promoter ISOKOKIDS, we’re holding a special festival in collaboration with WHATAWON. In addition to screening the “ISOKOKIDS 30th Anniversary Special Video,” which looks back on the group’s history, we’ll be offering a variety of content, including live performances by local artists and surf brand pop-ups. A new “wave” connecting the charm of the region with its culture will spread from here.
