Kunizaki Kaoru and Soda Akihiro alternate in each performance as the “young man” who wakes up in a psychiatric hospital with no memory, and “Go Ichiro,” a key figure in a certain incident. Jubei Yanagi plays Dr. Wakabayashi, a professor at Kyushu Imperial University who appears before the young man, while Yoshinao Kobayashi plays Dr. Masaki. Newcomer Takahashi Kotone plays Ichiro’s fiancee, Go Moyoko. Continuing from the premiere, EURO (SPEED-iD) and J.A. Caesar will be in charge of the music. Many songs from the solo albums of SPEED-iD and EURO, who have had a major influence on the gothic rock scene both in Japan and overseas, will be used throughout the play. Audiences will be able to experience the origins of PSYCHOSIS, which is based on the theme of fusing music and theater.

The concept is “See the Darkness, to know the Darkness.” With their provocative and beautiful stage performances, they have attracted attention as a unique presence among young theater companies. Director: Rika Morinaga LIKA MORINAGA In 1999, he joined the Gesshoku Opera Company. He inherited the directing techniques of Hide Takatori and further developed his own directing theory under the supervision of J.A. Caesar. In 2020, he formed the theater unit “PSYCHOSIS,” and made his directorial debut the following year with the mystical fantasy drama “DGURA MAGRA.” He personally oversees everything from design, music, and costumes, establishing a strong visual identity and a unique worldview. His works have garnered support as a “brand-like presence” that transcends the boundaries of theater, music, and art. In 2025, the company was selected for the Japan Council of Theatre Companies’ “Project to Develop Japanese Theatre Artists” to foster new theatre companies, and sold out all performances of Shuji Terayama’s “Blind Letters: Shanghai Edition.” The company continues to break new ground in underground theatre.
