=LOVE, the idol group produced by Rino Sashihara, is currently experiencing viral success in many areas. Their song “Tokubechu, Shite,” released in February of this year, has surpassed 82 million streams in total and 1.9 billion views on TikTok. Their 19th single, “Love Song ni Attackareru,” was released last week on October 8th. It debuted at No. 1 on the latest Oricon Weekly Singles Rankings, announced on October 14th, with first-week sales of 330,000 copies. Its first-week sales surpassed their previous single, “Tokubechu, Shite/Koibito Jyo, Suki Miman,” which sold 249,000 copies (as of March 10, 2025), marking their highest first-week sales to date, and marking the first time they’ve surpassed 300,000 copies. This marks =LOVE’s sixth No. 1 single, and their first in 1 year and 10 months since “Last Note Shika Shiranai” on December 11, 2023. The new song “Love Song ni Attackareru” features Maika Sasaki as the center. It is a cute love song that expresses the sentiment, “I don’t care if my feelings are obvious, I just want them to realize them.” The music video, released in September, features the members’ cute and fancy expressions, making a huge impact, and the choreography, which uses the theme of “wolf” in its “roar pose” and “ear pose,” has also attracted attention, with the video having been viewed over 7.5 million times.
