Musical actor and voice actress Nana Takano will hold a solo concert titled “GIFT” in Hiroshima and Tokyo in March 2026. In conjunction with this, it has been decided to hold a “Children’s Cast Audition” to recruit child actors to appear in the production. This audition is open to children living in Takano’s hometown of Hiroshima. The successful applicant will be scheduled to appear in both the Hiroshima and Tokyo performances of the solo concert “GIFT.” This project is part of the “Dream Baton Project” by nana lab., of which Takano is the representative. This project was born from Takano’s own formative experience as a student, when she was approached by musical actress Seiko Niizuma, which inspired her to aspire to a career on the stage. Just as Takano’s encounter in his hometown of Hiroshima changed his own life, now it’s his turn to pass on the “baton of dreams,” and he is holding this event with the desire to share the charm of theater and inspire the future with children who will lead the next
generation. I truly look forward to meeting children who aspire to be future musical stars. Audition details here:

Takanano Nana Comments My roots lie in my student days, when I performed as a backup dancer at a concert in my hometown of Hiroshima, where Seiko Niizuma was a guest. The moment Niizuma spoke to me during rehearsal, my admiration became a dream, and I eventually joined Ongaku-za Musical, where I’ve been ever since. It’s because of that experience that I’ve decided to hold auditions for children in Hiroshima. I hope to provide an experience that will inspire someone’s dreams, just as I once did. I’m still learning, but I hope this will inspire even a small part of your dreams. I sincerely hope so. What is the Dream Baton Project? Musical actress Nana Takano founded this project to inspire children to take a new step toward their dreams through performing arts, inspired by the words of musical actress Seiko Niizuma during her student days. With the goal of giving children an opportunity to “dream,” the project fosters imagination and empathy through artistic experiences, aiming to create a new local culture. Just as a single gift can change a life, our mission is to pass on the “baton of dreams” from our hometown of Hiroshima to the rest of the country and to future generations.
