Press release: October 14, 2025 Tuesday, November 25th is free admission for university students! “Canon Museum Campus” to be held ~ “Impressionism from the Musée d’Orsay: A Tale of Interiors” ~ Canon is proud to present the specially sponsored exhibition “Impressionism from the Musée d’Orsay: A Tale of Interiors” (Venue: National Museum of Western Art, Running: October 25, 2025) On November 25th, the “Canon Museum Campus” will be held at the Canon Museum of Art (from November 16th to February 15th, 2026), allowing university students and others to view artworks for free. Now in its 11th year, this event is a special event taking place on a day when the museum is closed. The event provides an opportunity for young people to experience the joy of art appreciation and experience an affinity with art.

Impressionism from the Musée d’Orsay – A Tale of Interiors 1. With the theme of “indoors,” we introduce another charm of Impressionism that goes beyond “outdoor light.” 2. Approximately 70 works from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the “Hall of Fame of Impressionism,” are coming to Japan, including works being shown in Japan for the first time! A collection of masterpieces by Manet, Degas, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, and others. This is the first time in about 10 years that the Musée d’Orsay’s Impressionist collection has come to Japan on this scale. 3. The brilliant masterpiece “Family Portrait (Berelli Family)” by a young Degas will be shown in Japan for the first time! 4. Important works from collections both in Japan and abroad, including those at the National Museum of Western Art and the Giverny Impressionist Museum in France, are also on display.
