The impetus for this project came when Sekiemon, CEO of Kaitori Maxus, appeared as a volunteer on the YouTube economic entertainment program “Real Value,” featuring Horie, Yuji Mizoguchi, and Yuta Misaki. Through the program, Horie was deeply impressed by Sekiemon’s personality, his sincere approach to business, and the “new possibilities for the reuse business” that Kaitori Maxus is developing. He subsequently decided to join the franchise for the first time and became even more involved, becoming an advisor. During regular advisory meetings between the two parties, the idea of ”elevating reuse into a system for giving back to society” took shape, and this new project, “Nandemo Kaitoritai,” was born. In other words, this social contribution project got underway through the following sequence: appearance on Real Value → franchise membership → appointment as advisor → birth of this project. During the advisory meeting, Mr. Horie recognized the social potential of the reuse market, He also identified with Kaitori Maxus’ unique business model and mission of “distributing latent inventory.” We felt that the idea of solving social issues through reuse was in line with the global trend of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), so we conceived the “Nandemo Kaitoritai” charity project as a new initiative to “elevate reuse into a system for giving back to society.” Recycling unwanted items not only contributes to the environment, but also provides social support. To put this philosophy into practice, Takafumi Horie, the certified NPO Japan Children’s Support Association, and Kaitori Maxus have teamed up to launch a new social contribution project, “Nandemo Kaitoritai.” This event, held as the inaugural project, aims to spread the idea that “expanding reuse leads to social contribution” throughout Japan under the theme “Bring a smile to a child’s face with your things.”
