From the golden ginkgo trees shining in November, to the quiet lanes of Aoyama Cemetery, the facades of famous buildings, and even the fallen leaves and nuts at your feet. There are plenty of programs to help you discover the charms of this town that you might otherwise pass by without noticing, focusing on nature, historical sites, architecture, and more. ■Highlight 2: Opening the senses with sound, images, and space – “Creating” and “seeing” are tailored to children’s interests Among the sounds, images, and space, you can freely choose from a variety of experiences to listen, follow, and move your hands. From short production workshops to in-depth concerts and lectures, you can open up your five senses by moving back and forth between “making, seeing, and listening” at your own pace. ■Highlight 3: Meet the creators and learn about the process – lectures, workshops, and encounters with the real thing We also offer a wide range of programs by leading artists, as well as gallery lectures and exhibitions. This will bring you closer to the thoughts and processes “behind” the works. There will be artist talks by Enrico Isamu Oyama, who will be installing his work at the Pola Aoyama Building, SHIMURAbros, and a workshop by sponge artist Goemon Yoshikawa. The same work may look completely different after listening to the talk and then getting hands-on with it. ■ Event List (As of October 14th, more events are planned for the future)

(Machi no Hoikuen Minami-Aoyama) We operate six licensed childcare centers and certified kindergartens in Tokyo. Based on the philosophy of child-centered, community-wide childcare, we have implemented childcare practices that cater to and deepen children’s interests, and have worked to enrich the community with children at its center. Similar initiatives are being implemented in various locations, including the placement of dedicated “community
coordinators” who connect nurseries with the local community. Machi no Hoikuen Minami Aoyama will be the company’s sixth nursery school, opening in April 2024 in the Pola Aoyama Building. The entire nursery school will be used as an atelier to further creative and exploratory childcare practices. ◇P.O. Real Estate The Pola Aoyama Building, owned by P.O. Real Estate and one of the event’s main venues, is a “Sensuous Kaleidoscope – Discover new discoveries and sparkle with every visit. Expand your world and change your life.” Construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2024, based on the concept. Aiming to create a space where architecture and art resonate with each other, the building includes the relocated Tsuchiura Kameki Residence, the only surviving example of pre-war modernist residential architecture, and aims to be a new type of office building where art and culture coexist. As a new cultural hub for Aoyama, the building will create a connection with art and culture, promote the revitalization of the local community and its formation, and work to realize well-being. ■Event held at Pola Aoyama Building ◇ Artist Lecture “Street Art and Public Art” Sunday, November 16th, 10:00-11:00 Pre-registration required through Peatix, participation is free Target: 4th to 6th grade elementary school students (participants outside the target age range are also welcome) This program will provide children with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of two forms of urban expression: street art and public art. First, an indoor video presentation will be used to introduce each form of expression. Then, participants will view Enrico Isamu Oyama’s work “FFIGURATI #630,” located on the outdoor terrace on the 14th floor of the Pola Aoyama Building, followed by an explanation of the work by the artist. This program will connect learning with experience and foster an interest in creative expression.
