(Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuki Iido) will host the two-day world street dance competition “WORLD DANCE COLOSSEUM (WDC)” on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Shibuya, Tokyo, and Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Launched in Japan in 2009, WDC is a two-on-two international dance battle event covering major genres such as hip hop, lockin’, waackin’, house, poppin’, kids, and high school. Now in its 16th year, the competition will bring together approximately 1,000 top dancers from around the world, including Asia and Europe, to compete for the title of world champion.

■ Japanese culture connects the world Under the philosophy of “dance knows no borders,” WDC has been promoting Japanese street dance culture to the world. The D SoraKi (from Kanagawa Prefecture), known as a world champion, is a talented dancer who became the first Japanese to win the Red Bull-sponsored “Dance Your Style World Final 2022.” While he has won numerous international competitions, he has yet to win a WDC title, and this time he will be aiming for his long-awaited first victory. Also scheduled to appear will be Miyu, who won the world’s most prestigious dance competition, “JUSTE DEBOUT 2017 WORLD FINAL,” at the age of 19. In recent years, she became the first Japanese dancer to sign with the major American agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and has been gaining attention as a Japanese dancer active on the global scene. Also appearing will be the father-son duo REI (74), a pioneer who supported the dawn of Japanese rock dance, and his son YOU (Isamu Yamauchi), a member of the world-famous group Hilty & Bosch.
