SIDE CORE is an artist collective whose work explores how individuals can communicate their message in urban and public spaces, drawing on the ideas and history of street culture. CCBT will develop new exhibitions and projects created through collaboration and connections that transcend differences, with “border crossing” as their keyword. Stay tuned to see how they will make full use of their new base in Harajuku. SIDE CORE The group began its activities in 2012 and is based in Tokyo. Members include Sakie Takasu, Toru Matsushita, and Futoshi Nishihiro. The video director is Kazuyoshi Haramoto. Their work explores the idea and history of street culture, exploring how individuals can communicate their message in urban and public spaces. Sometimes working in projects that involve artists from other genres, they create a diverse range of works in blind spots and gaps in the city. Recent exhibitions include “SIDE CORE Exhibition | Concrete Planet” (2024, Watari Museum of
Contemporary Art outdoor, Tokyo), “100 Years Later Art Festival” (2024, Chiba, Kisarazu City/Sammu City), “8th Yokohama Triennale ‘Wildflowers: Alive Here and Now'” (2024, Yokohama), “Living road, Living space” (2025, Kanazawa City), and others.

Through the use of experimental technology, interdisciplinary approaches, and
cross-disciplinary explorations, we will expand the possibilities of sound while also using sound as a starting point to connect diverse people and explore the next generation of sound. *Tickets for the music event will go on sale in November. Kazumi Komatsu | Musician, Artist, DJ Born in Kochi Prefecture in 1992. Currently residing in Kyoto City. He has released numerous recordings under various names on various labels and publishers, including angoisse, BUS editions, flau, Manila Institute, psalmus diuersae, and REST NOW!. He also regards vibrations/waves such as sound and light as his primary materials, and creates and researches works that focus on the material and
psychological transmission pathways of subtle information transmission found within society and individuals. His major solo exhibitions include “Osaka Directory 7 Supported by RICHARD MILLE Komatsu Chihiro” (2024, Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka).

This tool allows you to turn any part of a photo or image taken with your smartphone into a brush and paint. It encourages you to capture your familiar environment and landscape from a new perspective and create something from it. Experience this tool, which reclaims the city as a commons and unlocks people’s creativity.
