Press Release: October 15, 2025 SAWARIGAMI wins the “2025 Good Design Award” Origami with a new, tactile feel, combining traditional Japanese culture with our unique special printing and processing technique, “Sawarigami.” Shinkosha Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masaru Masaki), a comprehensive planning and printing company, has been awarded the 2025 Good Design Award (sponsored by the Japan Design Promotion Organization). The SAWARIGAMI series is based on the tactile origami paper “SAWARIGAMI,” which has a textured, uneven surface created by a unique special printing technique called “Sawarigami Processing” developed by our experimental brand, the “Printing Processing Laboratory.” Four products are available: the neon-colored “SAWARIGAMI neon,” the gift envelope “SAWARIGAMI iwai,” and the large-format “SAWARIGAMI | Large.” The products are available at the official online store, Amazon, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, stationery stores, and mass retailers nationwide.
