This year marks the sixth anniversary of the festival, which first debuted at the 2019 Namie Town Tokaichi Festival. We will be collaborating with LumiUnion, Namie Town’s first “Hometown Support Ambassador,” on three projects. We’ll be holding a chartered tour of some of the cars on the Hitachi Limited Express, and in a first for “OshiSta!”, we’ll be screening a special Namie Town movie along with LumiUnion campaign images at Ueno Station’s PLATFORM13. In addition, to commemorate the 6th anniversary of “LumiUnion,” a limited number of tickets will be sold at JRE MALL for exchange on-site for photos featuring characters wearing JR East uniforms. Enjoy your “oshikatsu” activities on trains, at stations, at JRE MALL, and in various other places. 2. Go to the Tokaichi Festival with LumiUnion members! Hitachi Express Train Private Event Tour ○ Tour Highlights – Members of “LumiUnion” dressed in JR East uniforms will ride with you between Ueno and Namie, allowing you to take photos. During the photo session, window and aisle seats will alternate seats. – Enjoy various events, such as talks between members, special in-car announcements, and a raffle for an autographed in-car poster. – A special atmosphere will be created with interior decorations and background music from “LumiUnion.” – Members will hand out limited edition novelty goods (acrylic stands). – Tour participants will be guaranteed a priority seat at the front of the line at the event on Shinmachi Street on Saturday, November 22nd. – Posters featuring the nicknames of tour participants will be displayed at Namie Station. A digital copy of the poster will also be given as a gift. The “Namie Women’s Association” debuted on November 24, 2019, at the “Namie Town Tokaichi Festival for Reconstruction” held in Namie Town. The association primarily focused on activities in Namie Town, promoting the appeal of Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, and its reconstruction. At the end of 2023, the association adopted a new structure and concept, expanding beyond Namie Town to spread the “wa” spirit that began in Namie throughout Japan, engaging in matchmaking activities connecting people and places across the country. As of August 1, 2024, the association will serve as Namie Town’s first “Hometown Support Ambassador.” The group will change its name to “LumiUnion” in June 2025, and together with the local community and supporters, it will work to spread connections of “light” and “smiles” by sowing small seeds of support and working to make the light of hope bloom for the future.
