This product, an assist suit with an integrated lower back support, is a useful tool for protecting your lower back. In particular, in occupations such as luggage or caregivers that frequently carry heavy objects or people, a single back injury can cause significant disruption to work. In addition to preventing back injuries, the lumbar supporter has been given high praise for improving its wearability, thereby improving convenience for workers. ■Comment from the Designer [MediAid Assist Gear Waist 2 Designer: Kazuya Naito] Even when people are physically unwell, they often avoid supporters and assist suits due to the discomfort they cause or the way they interfere with movement. This product is designed to provide support only during lifting and bending over movements, which place a heavy load on the lower back. We aimed to develop a product that would provide comfortable relief for workers in the field. To avoid an overly ostentatious appearance, we kept the size of the performance-related parts to a minimum and designed it to follow the contours of the body, resulting in a sharp, streamlined design. Another ingenious feature is the integration of a lower back pain belt, packed with our company’s expertise, into the lifting and support structure to protect the lower back from prolonged standing.
