“Prison School” will be the 13th installment of the “Mixa Animation Diary” (abbreviated as Mikuani), an event project featuring Kodansha titles that have been adapted into anime in the past and those scheduled for future anime adaptations! “Prison School” (by Akira Hiramoto), serialized in “Young Magazine” from 2011 to 2017, is a high school comedy about five boys who end up enrolling in a former all-girls boarding school. It’s a hugely popular series that has also been adapted into a TV anime and TV drama. This event, held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast, will feature a stellar lineup of performers! Participants will share their memories of the time while watching the anime footage. A survey is also being conducted on the MikuAni official website! We’re looking for episodes of the anime “Prison School” that you’d like to see revisited at the event. ■Prison School Synopsis Hachikou Academy, a private all-girls boarding school located in the suburbs of Tokyo, is a prestigious school with a long history. Starting this year, the school’s educational policy has changed with a new chairman, and boys are now allowed to enroll. However, only five students, including protagonist Fujino Kiyoshi, have enrolled. Will heaven or hell await the overwhelmingly minority boys among 1,000 girls?
