She studied under Shingo Ikegami. She graduated top of her class from the 44th NHK Traditional Japanese Music Skills Training Association. She performed a solo part at her graduation concert. She passed the NHK Traditional Japanese Music Audition and appeared on NHK-FM’s “Traditional Japanese Music.” In addition to her performance activities, she also devotes herself to hands-on classes at cultural facilities and elementary schools. Yokohama is home to many folktales deeply rooted in the local community. To preserve these stories for future generations, we turn them into kamishibai (picture storytelling) and perform them at kindergartens, nurseries, elementary schools, neighborhood associations, and ward facilities in the city. She began practicing yoga to relieve stress, and later traveled to South India. She completed a yoga instructor training course, which involved traditional live-in living. Based on Indian traditions, she teaches yoga that can be applied to Japanese life. She lives in Hodogaya Ward. There will also be an exhibition of works by members of Kaie Iwama Works in the foyer on the 4th floor. Look forward to it!
