In 2015, she won the 45th Japan Children’s Literature Newcomer Award for “Shurushurupan” (Fukuinkan Shoten), the 42nd Japan Children’s Writers Association Award for the “Wolf’s Charm” series (Kumon Publishing) in 2017, and the 11th Children’s Pen Award Planning Award for the anthology “Tales of Great People from Tohoku”
(Kokudosha) in 2025. Her other works include “Haiku Step!” (Kosei Publishing), the “House Guardian God” series (Froebel-kan), “Snake-kun and Swing-kun” (Alice-kan), “Again Again” (Akane Shobo), and “We Became Friends Before We Knew It” (Kin no Hoshi-sha). Illustration by Hidaka Naoto Painter and illustrator. Resides in Nara Prefecture. Graduated from the Graphic Design Course at Okayama Prefectural University’s Faculty of Design.
