citizen-participation classical music countdown New Year’s Eve concert every year since 2014 (except during COVID-19 pandemics), will hold the 9th Fukuoka Silvester Concert 2025 at Fukuoka Sunpalace Hall for the first time in six years. This event is a citizen-participation concert with themes of promoting music culture, contributing to the community, and building connections. We aim to create a space where everyone can ring in the New Year with a smile through concerts featuring professional and amateur performers and large groups. Background of the event This event was planned with the desire to bring a new musical event to Fukuoka that everyone can enjoy. Choir practice has been held weekly since July, and participants are diverse, regardless of age, gender, or occupation. Through this event, we hope to popularize classical music as a new hobby, especially among middle-aged and older people, and to foster a spirit of mutual appreciation that is born from sharing the joy of music, enriching each person’s life. All of this contributes to the vitality of the local community.
