The “Food Culture Festival,” a fusion event of jazz and gourmet food, will be held in Takatsuki City for two days, on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at the Takatsuki City First Junior High School grounds and Takatsuki Castle Park. Over the two days, a total of approximately 80 restaurants and 21 music bands will bring excitement to Takatsuki. The “Food Culture Festival” is an annual event held to promote the unique charms of Takatsuki, through a collaboration between “food,” which aims to become a Takatsuki brand, and “Takatsuki Jazz Street,” which has already established itself as a Takatsuki brand. Planned and run by local volunteers, this year marks the 17th anniversary of the event. Last year, approximately 17,000 people attended, making it a huge success. This year, a total of approximately 80 restaurants, mainly from the city, will be set up over two days, offering a wide variety of gourmet foods, including fast food, noodles, and sweets, as well as local flavors like Takatsuki udon gyoza. In addition, a total of 21 bands will perform on the venue’s stage, including live performances by jazz singer Shiho and jazz pianist Kota Sayama, to liven up the venue with their powerful live music. A variety of other events will also be held, including magic shows, skateboarding experiences, and a flea market. Be sure to come along to this event that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
