Announced October 16, 2025 Press Relations (Culture and Music) Music Journalists/Related Persons Dear Business Partners This is a live CD recording of the performance at the 6th regular concert of the Tokyo Women’s Symphony Orchestra (General Incorporated Association) held at Nippon Steel Kioi Hall on May 15, 2025. Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique reached number one in sales on the Oricon (Jazz and Classical) charts on October 20th. (*1) This is a remarkable achievement amidst the current climate in which people are turning away from classical music and CD sales are sluggish. Our professional orchestra was founded in 2022 with the goal of promoting art music through orchestral performances by female musicians, contributing to the advancement of music education, and promoting widespread social support and acceptance of art music. We also aim to raise the social status of female musicians by creating opportunities for women to thrive in the art music field, thereby fostering and developing Japan’s art music culture.
