More than 120 stunning color original drawings will be gathered in Yokohama, the largest collection ever! Unpublished works and manga manuscripts will also be shown for the first time. Inomata Mutsumi is an artist who has captivated countless fans with his overwhelming artistic talent and unique worldview. VISION8 Co., Ltd. (EDITION88 Art Gallery) will hold the first large-scale exhibition of original artwork since his death, “Mutsumi Inomata Retrospective,” at Marui City Yokohama (Kanagawa Prefecture) from Friday, December 5th to Sunday, December 28th, 2025. This exhibition will display over 120 colorful analog original artworks by Mutsumi Inomata, including works from anime, novels, games, and original works. You can fully enjoy the charm and power of original artwork, including its precise line drawings, delicate brushstrokes, and overwhelming three-dimensionality. In addition, a valuable manga manuscript drawn in the 1980s will be exhibited for the first time in its entirety. Numerous unpublished works and previously unseen materials will also be on display. The venue will also feature a wide selection of original goods and “88Graph” high-quality prints, which are planned, produced, and sold by EDITION88. Character designer and illustrator. His anime debut was “Plawres Sanshiro,” and his representative works include “Leda: Legend of War,” “Windaria,” and “Future GPX Cyber Formula” (anime), “Space Prince” and “Continent of Wind” (novel illustrations and film), and “Tales of Destiny” and other “Tales of” games. He passed away suddenly on March 10, 2024, leaving behind many beautiful illustrations. He loved cats and continued to draw them as a motif.
