It also plays an important role in a variety of areas, including product appearance and functionality, advertising, and the usability of websites and apps. Basic knowledge of design is important not only for graphic and web designers, but also for those involved in all kinds of creative work, including video creators, directors, and marketers. In this seminar series, we will be joined by Keiichi Masuda, who manages certification programs and creates teaching materials for graphic design, web design, and video production, as well as teaching at a vocational school. Each session will focus on how to apply the fundamentals of design, deepening understanding of design through a different theme. The first session will cover “Design Knowledge Creators Need to Know,” and the second session will cover “Typography Knowledge Creators Need to Know.” If you’re interested, please join us. Vol.1: Thursday, November 6th “Design Knowledge Every Creator Should Know” – What is CI? How to apply it to design – Basic principles of good layout and practical examples – How to apply it to actual works Vol.2: Thursday, November 20th “Typography Knowledge Every Creator Should Know” – Basic typography terminology and concepts (fonts, character spacing, line spacing, alignment, etc.) – The impact of character selection on design – Key points and case studies for beautiful typesetting – Tips for achieving both readability and design – How to apply typography to actual works 1. Explanation of the theme by the instructor 2. Post ideas such as “We should do it like this!” in the chat 3. The instructor will compile the submitted opinions on a panel and visualize them. 4. Participants post images (e.g., URLs) of their “ideal design products” in the chat. 5. The instructor will present and explain example images prepared by the instructor. 6.
