The Japan Racing Association (JRA) is collaborating with the popular VTuber group “Nijisanji” to launch the “Nijisanji Horse Racing King Championship,” a special project to liven up the autumn GI series.

The variety show consists of six episodes. Along with Hinako Kitano (actor) and Captain Watanabe (comedian), both official members of the JRA’s online community, “JRA FUN CLUB,” viewers will have fun learning useful information for making predictions, such as “running style” and “race development,” while watching past races. In addition, if you win the mini-games held in each session, you’ll have a chance to obtain “Help Items” that will give you an advantage in making predictions in the “Battle Edition.” In the Battle Edition, VTubers will earnestly predict the results of six races: the Shuka Sho, Kikuka Sho, Tenno Sho (Autumn), Queen Elizabeth II Cup, Mile Championship, and Japan Cup, and compete for the highest total points awarded based on finishing order. The horse predictions will be streamed live on each VTuber’s YouTube channel (JRA FUN CLUB channel for the Japan Cup) and posted on their X account. The person with the most points at the end will be crowned “Nijisanji Horse Racing King” and receive the honor of appearing on the racecourse’s giant monitor, “Turf Vision.” In addition, an “opening video (announcement video)” will be released prior to the prediction broadcast.
