Meiwa Tourism Trading Co., a general incorporated association (located in Saigū, Meiwa-cho, Taki-gun, Mie Prefecture; Representative Director: Senda Yoshihito), will be holding a tour of the historic Saigū ruins using the green slow mobility vehicle “Moguru” in collaboration with the Saigū Historical Museum (located in Takekawa, Meiwa-cho, Taki-gun, Mie Prefecture). The tour, “Become a Heian Period Traveler! Tsuboshozoku x Moguru Saiku Tour Autumn Edition,” will be held on November 2nd (Sun) and 3rd (Mon, national holiday), 2025. This tour is part of a collaborative project between Meiwa Tourism Trading Co., Ltd., a DMO responsible for promoting tourism in the region, and the Saigū Historical Museum, to better convey the history and appeal of Saigū. By touring the historic site at a slow speed of under 19km per hour, you can experience the vast grounds of the Saigū Historical Site and immerse yourself in the scenes of aristocrats traveling during the Heian period. The “ox cart” is an environmentally friendly electric vehicle with a low body and a barrier-free design that makes it easy to get on and off, so anyone, regardless of age or gender, can travel around Saigū safely. More than just a means of transportation, it blends into the landscape of the historic site and plays a role as a new tourist resource for the region.
