In 2013, he won the 10th Mysteries! He made his debut after winning a new writer’s award. In 2017, a series of short stories was published with his winning work as the title story. In 2021, he won both the 74th Mystery Writers of Japan Award and the 21st Honkaku Mystery Award for “Semi Kaeru,” the second book in the Izawa Izumi series. His other works include “Rokushoku no Chrysalis” (both published by Tokyo Sogensha).
