This event is held every year at this time to commemorate “Established Establishment Day,” a festival dedicated to Ebisu, the god of commerce. It was proposed in honor of the Ebisukou (Ebisu Association). A pre-event celebration was held at the Mitsui Main Building on October 10th, the day before the event. Chuo Ward Mayor Yasuto Yamamoto, who gave a speech as a guest, said, “I have been closely following the efforts to establish Established Establishment Day since its establishment. I look forward to this year’s excitement.” Approximately 100 people, including supporting companies and exhibitors, attended the event and deepened their connections. The event concluded with a sanbonjime (a traditional Japanese clapping song) led by Takatsu Ihei, chairman of the Long-Established Festival Executive Committee, building momentum for the main event.

This time, we offered “Tokyo Gin,” a craft gin with ties to Nihonbashi that is planned and sold by our company. The “Long-Established Local Market” was held again this year in the alleys surrounding Fukutoku Shrine. Well-established shops and local businesses from around the country set up tents to sell their products. Despite the unfortunate rain, many visitors attended. The annually popular tasting corner featured approximately 70 brands of domestic alcoholic beverages, including sake, wine, craft gin, and craft beer, and attracted many foreign tourists. This time, Enrai, a Shibuya izakaya that promotes the appeal of hot sake, participated and served hot sake, and coffee from Matsuya Coffee, a long-established coffee shop in Nagoya, was also on offer.

The event was a huge success, with a storytelling performance by storyteller Kakuyu Tanabe, a DJ performance by internationally renowned artists including Shuya Okino, and a collaboration between folk singer Misachi Kushima and Tsugaru shamisen player Kuniaki Baba. In addition, the NPO Koiki Nakimono Club and Ishikawa Kimono Cultural Ambassadors promoted the appeal of kimono culture and Kaga Yuzen through a Kaga Yuzen procession. Due to weather, the planned Kanze School Noh performance, Japanese drumming performance, and live calligraphy performance have had to be canceled at short notice. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to these events. We are gradually responding to those who have purchased tickets.
