History of the Museum’s Opening Judges’ Comments A facility designed to be a local library. The floating bookshelves allow the interior space to change size, creating a convenient size for local community activities within the library area, which is a wonderful feature. As a result, the area is used by the local community as a plaza in the winter when the outside area is unavailable, and in recent years, it has also been used as a plaza during the hot summer months. We highly praised this new spatial practice when the library is opened to the community as a third place.
