“Taste” artwork Track maker Idiot Pop’s alias project “CMM” and rapper “SWAN” from Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, have teamed up again to digitally release their latest single, “Aji,” on Friday, October 17, 2025. The new song “Aji” is an ambitious piece set to a heavy boom-bap beat by CMM, depicting everyday life and struggles using familiar food motifs like “pilaf,” “kelp stock,” and “cup ramen.” While viewing a life without luxury and a frugal lifestyle as adversity, the song conveys a positive message that the unique “umami” that results from it is proof of one’s individuality.
