The Imari ware is made using 23-karat gold and genuine lacquer sourced from a
long-established lacquer shop in Kyoto. The drying process usually takes several days, but you can take your work home on the same day in a specially made box. This is a special experience where you can experience the true joy of “genuine kintsugi” in just one day. A craftsman will first perform the initial steps of the repair at the venue, and the remaining steps will be completed in our Tokyo workshop. Once completed, the item will be delivered by mail. At the venue, you can observe artisans actually performing the kintsugi process up close, experiencing the beauty of traditional techniques and the profound depth of handwork.
