The Nihonbashi Music Liver Executive Committee (Spurt Inc., Head Office: Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takuya Shimazaki) is organizing “Nihonbashi Music Liver,” a street live event aimed at discovering the next generation of artists in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, a district that has long supported Japan’s performing arts culture. The event, “Street Music Liver,” is held every Friday. As one of the few locally recognized street events in Japan, this event has attracted the attention of professional artists, with over 110 street musicians performing to date. Passing office workers and tourists visiting Japan often stop to offer warm cheers, and the venue, which is unaffected by the weather and maintains a constant temperature thanks to its underground walkway, has been a big hit with street musicians. The concert will be live-streamed and archived by the popular YouTube channel “Tokyo Street Live 4K,” and interviews delving into the artists’ inner thoughts will be conducted by local media outlet “Nihonbashi Channel.” Currently, there are two stages: SILVER STAGE (Nihonbashi Muromachi 3-chome Underground Walkway) and BRONZE STAGE (in front of the Nihonbashi Information Center). SILVER STAGE is held every other Friday (2nd and 4th Friday), and BRONZE STAGE is held every Friday. (Note: The second week of October and the first week of December will be held on Thursdays.)

On the BRONZE STAGE (in front of the Nihonbashi Information Center), Hashimoto Nene, whose music is influenced by a variety of genres, including ’60s and ’70s folk songs, rock, and J-pop, will perform alongside Rio Kaminori (rio), a popular social media artist who has been scheduled to appear on the “All-Star Chorus Battle.” Yuzu Minato, who sold out tickets for their first solo concert in their hometown of Sapporo in August 2024, will each be showcasing their signature performances. Influenced by her parents, she discovered the guitar in sixth grade and began writing and composing lyrics at the age of 15. From around 2022, she will begin performing live mainly in Tokyo, at venues such as Shimokitazawa QLUB Que and Kichijoji MANDA-La2. Heavily influenced by a variety of musical genres, including folk songs from the 1960s and 1970s, rock, and J-pop, he writes his own lyrics and composes his own music. On July 20, 2024, he released his first single, “Yorisoi-ya-san.” Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, this song is based on Showa-era folk sounds, but is packed with the emotions he felt during the pandemic.
