The series, titled “Dream Talkers,” features each participant speaking in their own authentic words about the home they want to build. Instead of pre-set lines, the actors’ own thoughts and preferences are recorded as they are.

What we arrived at after a day of filming today is a “high-spec Goemon bath.” Rather than just a bathtub, it’s a Goemon bath that takes water pressure into
consideration. I was simulating it earlier, and I thought it would be nice to have armrests, a step, and a space to put a drink. It would be nice to have a bathtub that’s vertical rather than horizontal, while also considering safety. It may just be a fantasy, but I think it could be realized in this day and age, so I’d like to make it a reality someday. –If you could create a “dream room” in your house, what would it be? I guess I’d love a theater room after all. I love old Japanese films and often rewatch them, but as someone who has experience making films, there are many things you don’t notice unless you see them on the big screen. With respect to the filmmakers who came before me, there are many masterpieces, both old and new, that I would like to experience in a theater room. –What is the most important role you expect your home to play in your busy schedule? I think of home as a place like a charger. The longer I’m out, the more my battery drains, and when I get home, just spending some time doing nothing restores my energy. I want my home to be that kind of place.
–What’s your ideal way to spend a day off at home? I used to appreciate the luxury of being able to sleep in the morning and do nothing, but as I get older, I start to think, “Time is limited.” If I spend the morning carelessly, I end up regretting it all afternoon. It’s like my mind is restless, even though it’s a holiday. So lately, I’ve been trying to get up as early as possible, soak up the sunlight, and create days where I can think, “I have so much time today.” I’d like to make having no quota my quota. It’s difficult, though. But in reality, I’ll check movie theater websites the day before and plan my schedule, thinking, “I can watch three movies!” My ideal holiday would be to go to an area with lots of movie theaters and watch them all at once. But ultimately, I think that feeling of freedom only comes from having a place to return to. I feel like there’s some kind of connection between home and the outside world, like a movie theater. It’s because I have a home that I can go out and feel safe. –In keeping with the catchphrase for this commercial, “Dreams start moving the day you talk about them,” has anything recently come true after you’ve spoken about it? It’s embarrassing, but I’ve been saying for 20 or 30 years now that I’ll start studying English, stretching, and doing strength training tomorrow (laughs). I’m lucky if I can stick with something for three days. I keep setting myself the same goals, then quitting… over and over again. But I’ve never told anyone about it before, so from now on, I’m going to tell them. When you tell people, about half of it comes back to you, and you end up taking responsibility. I think that’s why I’ve been avoiding it, but now I think, “I should definitely tell them!” Starting today, I’m going to study English, stretch, and do strength training every day! Also, every day I imagine and draw microorganisms that have yet to be discovered, and I’ve been doing that for quite some time now, but I’ll continue doing that every day! I think what’s important is that I just said that.

I was so happy. I’ve always loved houses, and I’ve loved collecting and reading housing magazines since I was a little kid, so I even mentioned it as a hobby during the audition. That’s how intense my interest in anything related to housing is. So, even if I say so myself, I think I’m the perfect candidate for the role (laughs). –In the commercial, you said, “I want to build a house like this.” What is the one thing you absolutely want to achieve? If I were to build one… This summer, I realized, “Barbecues are fun!” That’s why I want a terrace. It could be on the rooftop or in a courtyard, but I want a space where we can have parties outside. I’ve had two barbecues this year, one with two people and the other with seven. It could be on the roof of a building, or it could be an overnight facility. (If we actually built it) It would depend on whether we had it on the rooftop or on a terrace, but I’d like about 10 people… I’d like to have a lively party. –If you could create a “dream room” in your house, what would it be like? I wanted a karaoke room where you could drink and sit on the floor. That’s why it had carpet. It’s carpeted, with lots of “cushions that ruin you.” You can lounge around there, sing karaoke on the projector, and watch movies. I want to create a space where you can sing karaoke whenever you want, and where you can have plenty of alcohol on hand to drink. –How do you usually spend your days off? On my days off, I usually start drinking from lunchtime (laughs). Just in moderation. I sometimes have a quick lunch beer in the afternoon, then get back to work, and then have another beer in the evening with a renewed sense of energy (laughs). –What’s your ideal way to spend your time? Ideally, I’d wake up with the morning sun, take care of my dog, and then take him out. To be honest, I’m not too outdoorsy, so I don’t get bored even if I stay at home all day. So, strangely enough, as long as I have a dog and some alcohol, that’s it. –Is your current situation already just as you’d hoped? It’s just as I’d hoped. And it’s even better when friends come over. Yeah, it’s been a good life (laughs). –What is your ideal family time? As for me, my parents’ house was a place where everyone was constantly talking, to the point where no one really listened to what anyone else was saying. As soon as we finish eating, my mom will say, “Let’s have tea,” and it’s tea time, and I love that time. Also, on birthdays, my mom always dances. We all sing and my mom dances. I love that. I love spending time with my family in the living room, and I’ve always had the habit of telling everyone everything that happened during the day while eating dinner. All my siblings do that. We tell them everything, everything we did and everything we enjoyed. So dinner time is a bit like a
confessional. I loved that kind of atmosphere because it was so open. When my mom or auntie clearly scolds me, I feel like the curtain finally falls on me (laughs). I live away from my parents’ house now, but I’m so happy that I can have those kinds of conversations with my husband, and I think I’d be happy if we had lots of those kinds of conversations at home. –In keeping with the catchphrase for this commercial, “Dreams start moving the day you speak,” is there anything that you recently “spoke about and made come true”? It’s really scary, but there was a moment when I really felt the power of words. In an interview, I said, “I like practicing and preparing for a role, so I’d like to play a role like that.” And now I’m actually practicing for the role. I thought, “Oh, it’s come true…!” (laughs). It feels like my wish to “work hard for a role” has come true. I’m happy and excited, but it’s also a little scary.

I definitely want to add a sauna. Since I play sports regularly, I want a home where I can relax, so I’d like a place to relax, like a sauna or a bath. –Buying a house is a big decision, but who do you usually consult with when making such a big decision? I think I usually consult my family first. –Have you asked your mother for advice recently? When I was buying furniture, I recently asked my mother for advice on what would fit and what size would be good. I tend to make snap decisions when it comes to furniture, interior design, and even home appliances like wanting a big TV, so I always consult with my parents to make sure they can think clearly. –How do you usually spend your time alone on holidays? I usually just relax at home, watch anime or dramas that I’ve been saving up. I’ve also been enjoying driving lately, so I often go somewhere a little further away while listening to music to refresh myself. –Are you an indoor person or an outdoor person? Outdoors. I basically can’t stay still at home. I like being outside because I can breathe fresh air.バレーボールも室内でやっているので、（休みの日は）外に出て自然の空気を吸ってリフレッシュしています。
–疲れて帰った時に家で真っ先にやりたいことは何ですか？
やっぱりお風呂にゆっくり漬かりたいですね。お風呂が一番リラックスできますし、体のリカバリーにもなるので、毎日の大切な時間です。入浴剤は好きな香りを選んで、その日の気分を整えるようにしています。香りはナチュラルなものが好きで、ホワイトムスクなど自然な香りを選ぶことが多いです。
–今回のCMのキャッチコピー「夢は、話した日から動き出す」にちなんで、最近“話したら叶ったこと”はありますか？
小さい頃にバレーボールを始めてから、「トップ選手になりたい」とずっと言い続けてきました。目標を聞かれるたびに、「バレーボールのトップ選手になります」と言葉にしてきたので、それを実現できたのは、まさに“夢が叶った”ということだと思います。
