KADOKAWA Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Director, Representative Executive Officer, President and CEO) Tsuyoshi Natsuno has unveiled the cover image of artist Ano’s “Ano-style philosophy book,” “We Don’t Need Philosophy” (2,420 yen/10% tax included), which is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Additionally, comedian and Akutagawa Prize-winning author Naoki Matayoshi of the comedy duo Peace will be making a guest appearance at a talk event celebrating the publication, which will be held on the same day as the book’s release.

Now, five years into her debut, Ano has continued to express herself in a variety of ways as a musician, TV personality, and actor. This book is a first-of-its-kind “Ano-style philosophical work,” in which she sincerely examines her own path and chronicles her new resolve. Matsuoka’s capture of Ano’s beautiful yet fragile, natural face is striking, adding a quiet depth to the entire work. In addition, comedian and Akutagawa Prize-winning author Naoki Matayoshi of the comedy duo Peace will be making a guest appearance at a talk event to commemorate the book’s release, Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Ano herself has long been an avid reader of Matayoshi’s work, and her guest appearance was made possible at her strong request. In this rare conversation between Ano and Matayoshi, two creative minds active across genres at the forefront of their fields, there’s great anticipation for how their words will resonate with each other and the resulting chemistry.
