Majored in mechanical engineering at Okayama University of Science. After graduating, he joined a home appliance manufacturer in 1990. After eight years there, he moved to the United States in 1998 at the age of 30 and enrolled in the CG Visual Arts department at Digital Hollywood Institute of Media Arts (dhima). After graduating, he began an internship at Pixel Envy in Santa Monica through an instructor’s introduction. He worked on VFX for music videos. After working there full-time for two years, he joined Hydraulx as a founding member when the president of Pixel Envy founded the company. He spent approximately 12 years as a modeling supervisor, developing assets and shots for films such as
“Transformers,” “Pacific Rim,” and “Skyscraper.” In 2012, he joined Industrial Light & Magic to fulfill his dream of working on Star Wars. As a Senior Generalist/Environment Artist, he worked on VFX for spin-offs such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Rogue One,” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” as well as TV series such as “The Mandalorian,” Marvel Cinematic Universe films like “The Avengers,” “Ahsoka the Creator,” and “The Creator.” In addition, he participated in the latest Marvel franchise film, Thunderbolts, which was released in May 2025, and Wicked, which is scheduled for release in November 2025. He is currently working on Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which is scheduled for release in May 2026. Session/Counseling About Digital Hollywood (Vocational School) https://school.dhw.co.jp/ In October 1994, the main campus opened in Ochanomizu, Tokyo, at the same time as Digital Hollywood Co., Ltd. was established. Currently, in addition to Tokyo, there are also campuses in Umeda, Osaka.
