Press Release: October 21, 2025 “Yabechi Cup 2025,” a children’s soccer tournament produced by Ninety-Nine’s Hiroyuki Yabe, will be held at the Takamadonomiya Memorial JFA Dream Field on Sunday, December 7th. A soccer workshop called “Yabechi Clinic” will be held, open to anyone, even those not participating in the tournament.

The soccer tournament “Yabechi Cup 2025,” produced by Ninety-Nine’s Hiroyuki Yabe, will be held at the Takamadonomiya Memorial JFA Dream Field on Sunday, December 7, 2025. This year’s eighth tournament will feature the annual U-12 (elementary school sixth grade and under) soccer tournament featuring 12 teams, an exhibition match featuring a mix of professional soccer players, alumni, and soccer-loving comedians, and an upgraded version of last year’s popular soccer workshop. To further share the joy of soccer with more children, Yabe himself will also be participating in a “Yabechi Clinic.” About “Yabechi Clinic” We’re upgrading our popular soccer clinic, first held last year, to include a “Yabechi Clinic” with Hiroyuki Yabe himself in attendance. Even players not competing in the Yabechi Cup are welcome to attend. Yabe and soccer players and alumni affiliated with Yoshimoto Sports will lecture 30 elementary school students of all grades on the joys of soccer. Applications are open from Saturday, November 1st to Friday, November 14th. U-12 teams must have at least 10 (but fewer than 20) registered players. 2. Teams must be able to participate in the tournament at their own expense, including travel, meals, and accommodation. 3. Teams must be willing to cooperate with the running of the tournament. *Some tournament sponsors request cooperation with certain items (such as wearing designated bibs during the tournament and cooperating with photography). 4. Teams must cooperate with the use of team and player images. (Teams must agree to be featured on the tournament website, in videos, and in the media.) 5. Uniforms (home and away) must be provided. Tournament Format: – League matches will be played in four blocks, with the top eight teams competing in the final tournament and the bottom four teams competing in the lower tournament. – Four “U-12” teams and one “Special Team” team (U-12 teams’ matches against the “Special Team” will be exhibition matches and will not affect the outcome of the league. Each team will play one exhibition match.) *Opponents will be announced on the day. – Each match will be 20 minutes long. *Exhibition matches will be 12 minutes long. – Number of bench members: Officials: Up to 2, 10-20 players.
